It was brought up at competition that there were a lot of scratches and a number of no shows at Summer Sectionals (held at UMBC outdoors).

While there is little we can do about this, we do have this problem at some of our meets also. We need to make sure that PVS coaches encourage their swimmers in these kinds of meets to return for Finals (if they make it). In addition, we are still getting swimmers at prelims and possible finals that are clearly just going through the motions, and not competing at the levels they are capable of.

Competition liked the large Short Course Championship Meet, and we will adjust the time standards to produce a meet to be held in two courses that will be 3 hours or so in length for 2001-2002 season. This past springs meet was 2 to 2.5 hours in length. I'll have time standards by October Board Meeting.
