Warm-up: | The prescribed Potomac Valley Swimming warm-up procedures and safety policies will be followed. The meet manager may determine the structure of the warm-up, including times and lane assignments. During the meet there will be continuous warm-up/warm-down lanes. Officials will be assigned to monitor these areas. If at any time conditions become unsafe, the area will be closed for the remainder of the session.
Eligibility: | Open to Potomac Valley Swimming registered athletes and invited USA Swimming athletes. Contestants must have equaled or bettered the applicable cut-off times listed. All entry times and USA Swimming memberships are subject to verification. Any athlete not achieving a QT, may be asked to prove the entry time to the Meet Director prior to the end of the meet.
Bonus event | Any athlete, who is entered into at least one individual event, may also enter one bonus event. If entered in 2 or more individual events they may enter 2 bonus events. Entry times for bonus events must satisfy the qualifying time for the PVS Junior SCY Championship. Athletes entering bonus events may compete in no more than the maximum events per session or meet.
Warning: | Any club that enters an unregistered athlete, falsifies an entry in any way, or permits an unregistered coach to represent them, will be fined the sum of $100.00 and no further entries will be accepted from that club until the said fine has been paid.
Rules: | Current USA Swimming rules shall govern the meet. All events are trials and finals, except for relays and the 1000 and 1650 freestyle, which are timed finals.
Positive check-in is required for all individual events 400 yards and over, and all Relays. These events will be seeded on the deck. Swimmers who do not check-in will be scratched from that event. Athletes who have checked in, have been seeded, and fail to swim the event will be barred from their next scheduled individual event.
Heats of distance events (1000 and 1650) will be swum fast to slow, alternating women and men. The fastest seeded heat of the women's 1000 and men's 1650 will be the first event of the Sunday finals session.
The "Whistle Start Protocol" and "No Recall" procedures will be used at this meet.
Individual Events: | A contestant may compete in a maximum of six (6) individual events, and compete in no more than three (3) individual events per day.
Relay Events: | There is no limit on the number of relay teams a club may enter; however, all entries must meet the listed qualifying time. Only two relay teams from a club can score. The 200-yard relays will not be scored.
Heats: | There will be three heats swum in finals for all individual events except the 1000 and 1650 events, which are timed finals as stated above. Heats will be swum in the following order: "A", "B", and "C" (previously referred to as finals, consolation and bonus).
Withdrawing

The order of time trial events will be those events contested that day followed by those events remaining to be contested, followed by those events already contested.

Officials assigned to this meet sign in at the recording table at the start of each warm-up session. Certified officials who have not been contacted should volunteer their services to the referee. Those officials working a minimum of three (3) complete sessions will be able to apply for national certification. A comprehensive officials' briefing will precede each session during warm-up.
