Eligibility: Open to all USA Swimming registered athletes. Athletes shall compete at the age attained on the first day of the meet.
Rules: Current USA Swimming rules shall govern the meet. All events are times finals. A contestant may enter no more that three individual events per day.
Warm-Up: The prescribed Potomac Valley Swimming Warm-up procedures and safety policies will be followed. The Meet Director may determine the structure of the warm-up, including times and lane assignments
Supervision

Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers and families. Team areas are to be cleaned after each session.

ONLY CERTIFIED COACHES, DECK OFFICIALS, VOLUNTEER TIMERS, AND WORKING VOLUNTEERS ARE PERMITTED ON THE POOL DECK DURING COMPETITION. BLEACHERS ARE PROVIDED FOR SPECTATORS TO VIEW

Admission: There is no admission charge. Programs for each session will be available for $2.00. There will be NO PVS discount. Working officials and coaches receive a free session program. All PVS/USA registered coaches and deck officials are required to wear current USA Swimming membership credentials on the deck area. The Referee will ask anyone not displaying proper credentials to leave the deck area.
Fees:Fees for individual events are $4.00, relays are $8.00. Each Club is requested to remit one check to cover the entry fees for the entire team. All meet fees are due before the end of the meet. Late (deck) entries will only be accepted upon payment of a $10.00 late entry fee and must be submitted no later than 30 minutes prior to the first event of each session. No new heats will be created. Late entries accepted on a first come, first serve basis. No late entries for relays will be accepted.
Officials: Officials assigned to this meet should sign in at the recording table at the start of the warm-up. Certified officials who have not been contacted should volunteer.
Timers: Participating clubs are required to provide timers in proportion to their entries. The Meet Director will determine the number of timers per club and lane assignments. The host club is required to provide one timer per lane.
Scoring: Individual Events: 20 17 16 15 14 13 12 11 9 7 6 5 4 3 2 1

Awards:Individual events: medals will be awarded for first through eighth place, ribbons be awarded for ninth through sixteenth place. Relay events: medals will be awarded for first through fourth place, ribbons will be awarded for fifth through eighth place. Team trophies will be awarded to the top three scoring teams.
Entries:

The following Computer disk entries (HY-TEK) ARE REQUIRED:

  • A Meet Entry Report by swimmer and Meet Entry Report by event from the Team Manager Program.
  • Entries may also be submitted on a PVS Master Entry Sheet.
  • Also submit a completed "Entry Cover Sheet".
  • A signature and phone number of a local swim club official must be included with entry for validation of entries.
  • All team relays must be submitted on Potomac Valley Swimming Entry Cards, HY-TEK Disk and on a Potomac Valley Master Entry Sheet.
  • No faxed entries will be accepted.
Reminder: Effective January 1, 1998, any team that enters more than 10 swimmers and does not use Hy-Tek, will incur a surcharge of $1.00 per swimmer.
Warning: Any Club that enters an unregistered athlete, falsifies an entry in any way, or permits an unregistered coach to represent them, will be fined the sum $100.00 and no further entries will be accepted from the Club until the said fine has been paid.
Deadline: The Meet Director must receive all entries for this meet no later than 5:00 PM, Tuesday, March 9, 1999.
Checks: Checks should be made payable to: MSC OPERATING FUND.    Do not send CASH.
