| ELIGIBILITY: | This meet is open to all USS swimmers ages 10 years old and older registered with Potomac Valley Swimming. |
| RULES: | The competition will be conducted in accordance with current United States Swimming rules. Swimmers may enter two events. |
| SEEDING: | The meet will be seeded and swum according to submitted entry times regardless of age. Heats will be swum fastest to slowest, alternating Women and Men. Each event will be seeded on the deck and will require a positive check-in at least 30 minutes prior to the first heat. |
| QUALIFYING TIME: | Any swimmer who has equaled or bettered 25:00.00 for 1650 yards, or 15:00.00 for the 1000 yards. |
| AWARDS: | First through eighth place awards in the following age groups: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 and over. |
| OFFICIALS: | Each swimmer must provide their own timer. |
| ENTRIES & FEES: | All entries are $3.50. Each Club is requested to submit one check to cover fees for the entire team. Submit a PVS Entry Card for each entry. A Master Entry Sheet is required and must include the name of the Club entry person. NO LATE/DECK ENTRIES ARE PERMITTED FOR DISTANCE MEETS. |

| ENTRY DEADLINE: | Entries must be in the hands of the Meet Director no later than 5:00 P.M., TUESDAY, 23 DECEMBER 1997. |
