| ELIGIBILITY: | Open to all Potomac Valley registered athletes. Contestants may not have bettered the No Faster Than times (NFT) listed. |
| RULES: | Current United States Swimming rules shall govern the meet. Athletes who do not check in will be scraatched. Athletes who check in and do not swim will be scratched from their next event. |
| WARNING: | Any club that enters an unregistered athlete, falsifies an entry in any way, or permits an unregistered coach to represent them will be fined the sum of $100.00 per violation. No further entries will be accepted from that Club until this fine is paid. |
| SUPERVISION: | Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers, and the clean up their respective team area. |
| WARM-UP: | The prescribed Potomac Valley Swimming warm-up procedures and safety policies will be followed. The Meet Director may determine the structure of the warm-up, including times and lane assignments. There will be lanes open for continuous warm up/warm down throughout the meet. If the meet is larger than expected, the sessions will be run dual course. |
| AWARDS: | Ribbons will be awarded for 1st – 8th place. |
| OFFICIALS: | Officials assigned to this meet should sign in at the recording table at the start of the warm-up. Certified officials who have not been contacted should volunteer their services to the Referee. |
| TIMERS: | Participating clubs are required to provide timers in proportion to their entries. One timer is required for every 25 entries. Each club is required to submit the names of timers that have committed on the club master entry sheet. The number of timers will be adjusted when clubs provide other key officials. Acceptance of the Club entry is based upon compliance with the above. The Host club is required to provide one timer per lane. |
| ADMISSION: | There is no admission charge. Meet programs for each session will be available for $1.00. PVS Family Members who present their current member cards are entitled to purchase one program for $.50. |
| FEES: | Fees for individual events are $2.50, and $5.00 for relays. Each club is requested to remit one check to cover the entry fees for the entire team. Meet Directors have been instructed not to accept phone entries. |
| ENTRIES: | Computer Disk Entries (Hy-Tek) must be accompanied by a Meet Entry Report by SWIMMER and a Meet Entry Report by EVENT from Team Manager. Entries may also be submitted on the PVS Master Entry Sheet. ALSO SUBMIT A COMPLETED ENTRY COVER SHEET. Signature and phone number of a Club Official must be included for entry validation. Late/Deck entries are not permitted for this meet. |
| RELAYS: | Teams may enter a maximum of two relays per event. Each relay should be submitted on the PVS Master Entry sheet, along with a PVS entry card. Any athlete who is pre-qualified for the Junior Olympic Championships in an event may NOT swim that leg of a relay. If the preliminary time line exceeds 4 hours, the relays will NOT be swum in that particular session. |
| DEADLINE: | The Meet Director must have entries no later than 5:00 P.M., TUESDAY, 25 NOVEMBER 1997. |
