Dinwiddie Street side of the school *** WARM-UP MORNING SESSION (Boys ) Warm-up 7:10 - 7:50 am First Event 8:00 am SCHEDULE: MID-DAY SESSION (Girls - 7 & Under) Warm-up 10:40 - 11:20 am First Event 11:30 am AFTERNOON SESSION(Girls - 8 year olds) Warm-up 2:00 - 2:40 pm First Event 2:50 pm WARM-UP: The prescribed Potomac Valley Swimming Warm-up procedures and safety policies will be followed. The meet manager may determine the structure of the warm-up, including times and lane assignments. PUBLIC There is no public admission charge. Programs for each session will be available for $1.00. Potomac ADMISSION: Valley swim members who present their current Potomac Valley Family Membership Card are entitled to purchase one program for $.50. Working officials and coaches receive a free program. AWARDS: Swimmers placing first through tenth place in individual events will be awarded ribbons. Relay events will be awarded ribbons for first place through fourth place. A heat award will be given to the winner of each individual heat. ELIGIBILITY: Open to all Potomac Valley Swimmers Registered as United States Swimming Athletes. All athletes shall compete at the age attained on the first day of the meet. RULES: Current United States Swimming rules shall govern the meet. All events are timed finals. A contestant can enter no more than three (3) individual events per day. ENTRY FEES:Fees for individual events are $2.50; relay events are $5.00. Each club is requested to remit one check to cover the entry fees for the entire team. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH. Meet Directors have been instructed not to accept telephone entries. Late entries are $10.00 per individual event and must be submitted no later than 30 minutes prior to the first event of each session. No new heats will be created. Late entries accepted on a first come, first serve basis. No late entries for relays will be accepted. ENTRIES: The following Computer Disk entries (HY-TEK) ARE REQUIRED: * A Meet Entry Report by swimmer and Meet Entry Report by event from the Team Manager Program. * Entries may also be submitted on a PVS Master Entry Sheet. * Also submit a completed "Entry Cover Sheet." * A signature and phone number of a local swim club official must be included with entry for validation of entries. * All team relays must be submitted on Potomac Valley Swimming Entry Cards, HY-TEK Disk and on a Potomac Valley Master Entry Sheet. * No faxed entries will be accepted.ALL EVENTS WILL BE SWUM SLOWEST TO FASTEST WARNING & PENALTY: Any club that enters an unregistered athlete, falsifies an entry in any way, or permits an unregistered coach to represent them, will be fined the sum of $100.00. And no further entries will be accepted from the club/team until said fine has been paid. SUPERVISION: Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers and families. Team areas are to be cleaned after each session.ONLY CERTIFIED COACHES, DECK OFFICIALS, VOLUNTEER TIMERS, AND WORKING VOLUNTEERS, ARE PERMITTED ON THE POOL DECK DURING COMPETITION. BLEACHERS ARE PROVIDED FOR SPECTATORS TO VIEW THE MEET. TIMERS: Participating clubs are required to provide timers in proportion to their entries. The host club or team is required to provide on timer per lane. Head coaches are responsible for making sure there is adequate representation from their respective teams. OFFICIALS: Officials assigned to this meet please sign in at the recording table prior to the start of each Warm-up Session. Certified Officials who have not been contacted should volunteer their services to the Deck Referee. A comprehensive officials' briefing will precede each session during the warm-up periods. DEADLINE: The Meet Director must receive all entries for this meet no later than 5:00 PM, TUESDAY, 15 OCTOBER 1997.
