Toni Davis Named to the 2004 U.S. Paralympic Swim Team
The following five swimmers all swam exceptionally well while representing Potomac Valley at the U.S. Paralympics Trials Selection /National Disabilities meet held April 22-24 in Minneapolis, MN:

Anna Johannes
John Knoblach
Doug Powell
Lynn Wymelenberg
During this LCM competition, Toni Davis set new American Records in the 50 Butterfly (38.89) and the 100 Butterfly (1:30.02), bettering her own existing records. Based upon a selection criteria which is relative to world rankings, Toni was nominated to be a member of the U.S. Swim Team that will compete at the Paralympic Games in Athens Sep 19-27.

And while discussing records, Doug Powell set a pending Pan American record in the 200 Breast (3:17.71).

In addition, special recognition was provided during the meet to John Knoblach, Curl-Burke, who has competed in every National Disabilities Championship since the inception of the meet in 1998.
And Anna Johannes, Potomac Marlins, was recognized as the youngest female competitor in the meet (age 10).
